Simple Ways to Support Our Efforts:
- Capital One - Apply for our custom Visa Platinum credit card and Capital One will donate $50 for each new account opened, after the first purchase, plus a % of all future purchases.

- The Kara Foundation has launched a pilot program in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Medicine to provide grants to reduce the housing and parking costs of all young adult patients and their families at the Hackerman Patz Patient and Family Pavilion. Visit our Kara's Place webpage for more information about this unique program to provide additional funding for unmet expenses.
- The Kara Foundation has sponsored or hosted 30 breakfasts or dinners in the past 4 years, providing over 900 meals for patients and families to enjoy.
- Nothing will say "Welcome to Kara's Place" more than our Tote Bags full of basic essentials and healthy snacks provided at check-in. Over 200 care packages have been assembled for patients and families to use during their stay at Kara's Place.
- A special thanks to St. Bernadette's School in Springfield, VA for selecting our foundation to sponsor on Dress Down Day in January.
- Thank you to the Celebration Singers of Woodbridge Virginia for sponsoring the Kara Foundation for four consecutive years and raising close to four thousand to support patients and families!!
